By selecting the Active Status filter, you can limit your results to only those documents that the authoring organization has labeled as active. A document can also have a more specific status, such as Cancelled, Discontinued, Draft, Non-current, Not for New Design, Obsolete, Pending, Replaced, Revised, Superseded, and Withdrawn. To refine your search with a more specific status, use the Status filter under Advanced Search.
Authoring organizations label documents with a generic (Active or Inactive) status and a specific status. A document's primary status is generic and the secondary status is specific. A specific status supports the reason that a generic status was applied. For example, a document may be Inactive (generic) and the specific reason may be that it has been superseded by a later revision.
