The Segment filter restricts a search to the selected segments (standards categories) as they are defined in the IHS Standards Expert database, which includes Industry Standards, Military Standards, Joint Technical Architecture (JAA) Standards, Historical MilSpecs, Active MilSpecs, DoD Adopted Standards, and other Federal and Military Standards.
The Segment options are similar to the Organization options but they break an Organization's standards down into categories. For example, you can select to perform a search with BSI as the Organization, but when you select to search by the Segment, BSI - Health and Safety, your search results are refined with BSI Health and Safety standards.
