The My Publication feature of IHS Standards Expert allows administrators of a subaccount to add metadata records into Standards Expert for publications owned and maintained by the customer.
Once the metadata is published in the Standards Expert Index, users can retrieve search results that include the indexed metadata for their company's publications as well as publications residing in Standards Expert. View buttons in the search results link to the documents in the customer�s repository based on URLs provided during the upload and publishing of the metadata. Note that when users have access to My Publications, they see an additional search filter on the Search tab/page for Standards Expert that allows them to Filter by: My Publications. When they use the My Publications filter, search results are limited to only those documents identified as My Publications documents. The indicator identifying a My Publications document will be displayed in green in the title field of the ISE results list.
Metadata for documents can be added one at a time or loaded as a batch of document records from a formatted Excel or tab delimited text file. The My Publications Administrator loading a new document enters information into the following fields when the document is added or edited. The information added to many of these fields can later be used as search criteria when users are searching for a document.

Once the above record information is saved into the database, the record is integrated into the Index and normally available for viewing within two hours. When records are added to My Publications using the batch process, they normally are available for viewing within 24 hours.
Administrators can add Account Notes to the metadata records, thus adding cautions, directions, pertinent information, or links to an internal or external document or site. They can modify or delete records, and they can manage who is allowed to view or access the records.
Users can put the metadata records on a Watch List and/or on a My Favorites list. However, users are not able to set up the indexed metadata with Alerts.
The My Publications application in ISE is built on the Microsoft Silverlight platform. Before you can log in to My Publications, download Silverlight at http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/resources/. Click Get Silverlight Now and follow the prompts.
If you attempt access to My Publications before downloading Silverlight, you will be prompted for the download before login.
My Publications is an additional subscription to ISE. You need to confirm that your company subscribes to My Publications.
